Gerard Damiano stubbed his toe with this desultory set of six vignettes, at best failed soap opera (with surface "dramatic" acting), and at worst pretentious artiness. His mastery of Adult Cinema is secure, but even a master can have a real off-day.
Worst scene is titled "Once Upon a Time", an erotic fantasy with cast overly made-up and puppet-like going through the motions of emotionless sex. Andrew Blake, this sure makes your stuff look good.
Serena and Jamie Gillis role-play in a dreary "The Game", R. Bolla stars as a cad leaving his wife in the overacted "Goodbye" and Bobby Astyr complains and is tiresome humping a young hooker in "The Hooker". A live BDSM sex show is tediously depicted in "The Exhibition".
Unbearably bad is a scene starring Damiano himself, which demonstrates zero competence at fashioning an old-fashioned soap opera, titled "First Things First". Samantha Fox at her makeup mirrors plays Damiano's daughter, and he dotes on her. Cryptic at first, there's a seamless move into flashback where she puts on sexy lingerie and humps her lover, promising him she'll tell daddy she's serious about their relationship. Back to Damiano (with the gimmick of us wondering whether it was him she stripped for), and she fails to tell him -merely lingering with extreme sentimentality as he is afraid to let his little girl go. Coming from a master pornographer, this scene particularly rings false throughout, zero sincerity.
Much of the cast get fake names (or misspelled) in the credits in this utter failure.
