The advantages of proper communication over the 'Phone' ,including clarity ,promptness ,politeness and efficiency ,are dealt with in this comic ,dramatised ,documentary short film from New Zealand ,written ,directed and edited by actor Sam Neill in 1974. An inventor called Trench (John Banas) has developed a Telepathographic machine which can transmit and interpret human thoughts. Unfortunately when he rings a company called 'Kiwi Communications' to flog his invention he has some uncalled for 'fun on the phone' with several of it's employees ,so decides to take his invention elsewhere. This guide to using the alleged 'cool medium' features ad style imagery of the latest examples of this sound communication medium (where extra care is needed ,as we see ,or hear) and Grant Tilly ,Ross Jolly and Jane McKechnie (as three of the phone abusers).
