Coming on America

Made during Joe Sarno's "Heather Hunter era", Coming On America is a truly awful excuse for a video. Seeing a talented director reduced to grinding out drivel at this level is quite disheartening.

Hunter, employing a vaguely Carribbean accent, plays the African princess who travels to New York in patented "fish out of water" Murphy style. Casting is truly lame -with Sarno employing white boys to play her castle guards back in Africa.

The cheap sets here, sometimes no more than a mattress thrown down on a bare floor to suggest a castle "dungeon", are disgraceful, as much of the "action" takes place on a grungy hotel set. Library music often lays out for the typical exaggerated heavy moaning & groaning on the soundtrack during strictly mechanical XXX sex scenes.

It takes well over 30 minutes of sex scenes before Heather even arrives in Gotham (we get a shot of a toy plane crossing a map for cheapo transition). Mocking New Yorkers' supposed hostility, there are unfunny racist wisecracks dished out by the chubby hotel clerk.

Heather gets it on with her loyal bodyguard Peter Lawrence, and for variety Ariel Knight shows up in the role of a white whore to join the action. Just before the 60-minute mark the video ends abruptly, incomplete and unresolved.
