La scuola

A great Italian movie from the 1990s. Set in a school of a suburb of Rome " Colli Aniene", it well describes some the ordinary lives of students and teachers. I consider it to be enough realistic. The movie is nostalgic, well orchestrated, romantic, dramatic, but most of all it is very funny. I watched it countless of time. Needless to say that the best interpreter of this movie is Silvio Orlando the literature teacher. I also enjoyed the irony of the French teacher Mortillaro who at times behave even worst than the students, especially when him alarms the police of prank bombs in the school. And plus a Teacher that drinks beer during a class council? Beer is not too much of a taboo in Italy still it is very unusual in these circumstance.

A very nice movie. Highly suggested.
