The Cherokee Kid is a 1996 made for T. V. Western comedy about a naive farm boy's quest for vengeance after his parents are killed by a vicious land-grabber when he was a child.
Most made for T. V. films usually aren't very good, but I've always enjoyed The Cherokee Kid. It captures the spirit of an old west tale of revenge alongside a mix of fun comedy nicely. Sinbad is delightful to watch as Isaiah Turner, a bumbling farm boy who grows up and learns from a great cast of characters how to become an old west gunslinger, so he can avenge the death of his parents and brother. It's pretty silly at times, but never fails to be anything other than entertaining.
It's not the best western out there or the best comedy ever, but it's still a good movie that should bring out a few chuckles. If you haven't seen this before, I would recommend giving it a chance.
