Not sure where the reviewer was coming from that said Michael's witnessing was in "codes and instructions" He uses a couple of very straight forward scriptures answering Rob's questions about being born again and prayer. No hidden meanings or agenda and definitely no codes. Furthermore Michael struggles with knowing all the answers or what to say to Rob so he does some research and comes up with those answers from the Bible, not only for Rob but ultimately for himself as he learns to share his faith. Actually I thought it was very convincing showing how Christians really do struggle with how to share their faith and yet he persists and does so in a great way. This is further developed by Michael rehearsing all his conversations with Rob to the young man in a coma. It shows how Michael really cares about Rob and is sincerely trying to help him as a friend. As far as impact, I first saw this in 1987 as a new Christian and I remember how it really did inspire me. I later became an RN and work in an ICU now and I feel that this movie had a direct impact on my later career direction. When you consider the time and low budget this film was made on it was very well done.
