This is the lucky 13th feature by "Thomas Paine" that I've seen, and attests to the guy's talent. Despite his unfortunate choice of patriotic (-not) moniker, he was a big deal back in the day yet forgotten now.
Helpful opening cards bring us up to date on the main characters, important since 12 years transpired before the hit 1985 original and this distantly-related followup released by Adam & Eve. Main three roles were essayed by Tish Ambrose, Eric Edwards and Sheri St. Claire, and the story picks up with them relocated out West over a decade later.
Juli Ashton takes over Tish's part of Jill, now married to Winston Fields, with Mark Davis succeeding Edwards. They arrive at their new home, arranged for and greeted by Jill's old pal Babette, in the form of luscious French star Rebecca Lord, replacing French in name only Sheri St. Claire. Winston begins work as a forest ranger and immediately gets to hum fellow ranger Sally, played by Heaven Leigh.
Completing the front line is the great '90s actor Michael J. Cox, looking rather foolish in the opening reel as a shrimp overwhelmed by his 10-gallon cowboy hat, yet playing a psychiatrist of all things.
Winston has conquered his impotency that was the subject of the first film, "cured" by prostitute Jill, whose maiden name is revealed here to be Jameson, obviously a not-so-in joke riffing on the industry's Numero Uno star JJ.
But now he's plagued by nightmares in the form of erotic dreams, in which he has sex with multiple women at a time, wearing the poor guy out. Sure sounds like a plot for a porno! (and it is).
There are lovely locations utilized for this shot-on-film opus, which also features studio work giving it both outdoor-sex and indoor action XXX content.
Acting is fine but the interpersonal story is not developed much, as director Paine favors his sex scenes instead. Film boasts an unusual roster of superstars (Asia Carrera, Nina Hartley, Shayla LaVeaux and Jeanna Fine) who only show up in the final reels' orgy, as well as greats like Chloe and Johnni Black suddenly appearing without much set-up in a threesome with Davis. And there's an abundance of "blink and you'll miss 'em" fetish guest talent at the kinky club where that orgy takes place.
