A gypsy grandfather Pápa Piquillo makes a living singing and dancing through the streets of Madrid in the company of his 6 grandchildren, a monkey and a goat. In this way he tries to help his entire family get ahead and thus prevent his grandchildren from falling into the dangerous world of drugs. Things get complicated when one of the children has an accident and a strange illness is detected. Pápa must sharpen his ingenuity to get money that will allow him to travel to Australia to cure his little boy. Artist, gypsy and rascal !.
This is a slightly funny film with entertaining as well as sentimental events, giggles , craziness and lots of fun . It is a Chiquitp de La Calzada's recital in which he proves his hilarious skills, gestures and his particular way of acting including his usual comical tics, as well as his peculiar expressions. The axis of the film is the grandfather Pápa Piquillo who takes rigorous care of his six grandchildren and will do anything to protect them. Basically, with this he intends to help his 'churumbeles' move forward and avoid the drug problem in his grandchildren, a scourge that surrounds the poor neighbourhood of slums in which they live. For the third time, after ¨Aquí llega Condemor (el pecador dela pradera)¨ and Blacula (Condemor II), Álvaro Sáenz de Heredia directs the comedian Chiquito de la Calzada in this friendly comedy, with overtones of drama, about a gypsy grandfather who tries to raise his family, having to take care of his six grandchildren, with hardly any financial resources.
