Sensual Friends

Contrary to some of the bad reviews here, I actually gave this movie a 10/10 on a Erotic film scale (I have a different set of scales for this genre). Why did I do so? read on!

First of all, all the actor/actresses were very good looking, very "person next door" look, and have amazing bodies. I love how all of them could just be anyone's friends and not those unattainable models types that a lot of soft core porn use.

Acting wise, I actually thought it was quite good, for soft core porn. Even though I felt some lines were forced, I genuinely believed the love between certain couples, the friendship between the guys, and some of the more tender moments when truths are revealed. The emotional impact was there.

Finally, I really liked the story. It could have been a disaster/brainless sex movie, but it had some depth (as much as any soft corn movie I've seen). I actually watched it again like a regular movie and enjoyed it. I think what it does well is convey the friendship this group of people have (for synopsis, read other reviews =P) and the love they have for each other, whether friendly or sexual. Every character is well defined, 3 dimensional, and likable in their own way. The heavy and light moments (excluding sex scenes) were intertwined quite well and I really had a good time watching it.

Oh yeah, I'm SO GLAD they don't have the "token" lesbian scene in this one. It would have been quite unbelieveable... I mean, can you imagine any of the guys getting it on with another guy in this movie? =)

In conclusion, 10/10!
