The body of a young black lady is washed up on a beach. There are needle marks which suggest that she was a drug addict.
Superintendent Duggan makes enquiries about young women from the caribbean who were drugs addicts.
The police doctor informs him that the dead woman was not black. She dyed her skin for whatever reason.
The police make some tests with some dummies to figure out where in the English channel her body was dumped.
Superintendent Duggan goes to Paris where he discovers that the dead woman was in fact an English showgirl with links to an international criminal gang.
Another fast moving instalment of Scotland Yard. Not only does Duggan end up going to Paris twice, on his first visit a French policeman is killed. There is also contact made with Interpol in Rome.
The finale has a sharp ending and Edgar Lustgarten looks rather pleased with the outcome.
