Handlung
WUSSTEST DU SCHON:
- WissenswertesDue to deadline problems, the producers of the game had to use the Quake engine to complete the game on time. This came about because the movie was in theatres longer than expected, forcing the company for which the producers worked to shorten the time to the deadline. As a result the game lacks the elaborate mazes, site bosses, and hidden clues that made its predecessors famous.
- PatzerWhen Bond tells everyone he ha to go pursue Bullion warning Renard, his wolfram p2k gun doesn't seem to be seen anywhere, but appears on the ground in the next shot.

Sometimes, in a tricky situation, I ask myself "What would Bond do?" Apart from the fact it has resulted in me getting slapped by lots of women, and a lot of broken bones, it been quite succesful. Anyway, on with the review.
After the downright AWFUL "Tomorrow Never Dies" game for the PSX, I wasn't particularly looking forward to the next installment. But I can safely say it beats TND in almost every way! This game returns to the first-person format of Goldeneye, after TND failed miserabely with a third-person view, and it works perfectly. It actually makes you feel like you're in the shoes of the great man himself. There's also plenty of guns, gadgets and beautiful women to play with, as well as lots of cutscenes from the movie, which blend in really well. The graphics are some of the best I have seen on any Playstation game as well. But now I must be the villian and point out the games bad aspects. The main problem is that it tries too hard to be a game that it's not. A classic example of this is the fifth level "Night Watch" where you must slip around Electra King's mansion in the small hours bugging telephones and tracing evidence. There's no real problem with that, except that the game tells you to be sneaky and use stealth on your enemies (which you can't kill) but this is a first person-shooter, not Metal Gear Solid!!!!!!! You can't BE sneaky, the game doesn't allow for it. It a shoot-em-up, plain and simple. Don't listen when the game tells you to be sneaky, just run out with your guns blazing and you'll still get through. A few other little gripes I have is that it's very awkward changing weapons, which should be quick and easy in this type of game. You can't re-enact that classic boat chase on the Thames (a real disappointment) and there's still no multiplayer, which could have worked well. Plus it could still be slightly longer. But despite these faults, the good points outweigh them. It's no Goldeneye, but an enjoyable enough shooter which is definetly worth buying even if your not a big follower of the guy who never has a problem with the women (so why aren't I as good as him.........)
+ Well Presented + Excellent graphics + A good range of weapons and gadgets to play with + It's Bond!
Overall: 7 out of 10 (This was a review of the Playstation version)
