Reasonable concept - poor execution.

As a concept The Manilla Lover, pretty much, lives up to the short film requirements. However... the simple act of reversing stereotypes has been done on numerous occasions and been done way better.

Direction is choppy at best and the manuscript has more flaws than most full length films.

The overall impression is that this probably looked better on the drawing board - than it turned out on the silver screen.
