This film is about a guy named Vedu, who is an MBA student. One day his girlfriend loses a precious chain which in fact is a gift from her mother. Vedu doesn't want to disappoint her and promises to get it back for her. In his bid to keep up the promise, he indulges in some rather risky schemes to earn some quick bucks. Things go wrong and he now owes more than what he was aiming for! How exactly he comes out of this mess forms the essence of the story.
The film has a dull narrative right from the beginning and picks up only when it nears the climax where the comedy and emotions make it a bit engaging. The storyline fails to pick up and doesn't enthuse the viewer. The comedy also fails to evoke much laughter in most of the parts. The unnecessary songs which pop up abruptly also can test your patience.
The film does have some fine moments, one of them being a heart-touching scene where the father-son bonding is shown wonderfully. It could have been executed even better if it had a stronger premise. The screenplay and direction should have been more gripping, which would have made it an entertaining watch.
The casting of this film however is just perfect, with each of the actors having done justice to their roles. Rishi gives another good act, Dhanya Balakrishna makes an impressive debut in Sandalwood, Dattanna and Rangayana Raghu standout in their roles as usual.
Overall, this film feels like a half-hearted attempt eventually turning out as a dud. However, if comedy is your cup of tea, it can serve as a timepass watch but only if you have no other choice!
