Yes this show was inspiration for America's Funniest Home Videos, however the best part of the show was their section called "Detective Story," with highly inventive and ridiculous comedic adventures of two roommate detectives. It was such a huge part of my childhood living in Japan, along with Shimura Ken's "Daijyobuda." So sad to hear about Shimura's death from covid. I only wish more than anything that there was a complete collection of this show out there somewhere. Someone please make these episodes available!!!!
