Many a porn star has sought to take control of his or her content in recent years, especially with the rise of personal websites. Julia Ann created this series of "I'm in control" videos, distributed by Girlfriends Films, but this first effort is dull.

It merely has her humping with four contrasting ladies, basically all-sex and pandering to the craze for "chemistry" in porn. Mere compatibility of performers is hardly a substitute for Adult Cinema's traditional emulation of the mainstream in telling stories and creating characters.

Most unusual segment has Julia pawing away at Karla Lane, a well-established fetish performer (BBW), who is mighty cheerful and hefty, but not a very scintillating screen presence. In the DVD's Bonus interview material Karla boasts of having made over 600 films, a confusion of quantity with quality.
