An interesting comment seeing as the first SingStar was released two years prior to the first Guitar Hero.

"Its a PS2 karaoke machine and it's as boring as watching Jack Thompson whine about how a game made by Rockstar and take two is too violent."
I'd also perhaps do a search for SingStar on YouTube to assess the level of enjoyment people seem to have playing it.
"Bottom line: unless you're a hardcore fan for hard rock, don't place your money down for this. you'll have more fun singing along to the radio."
Slightly bemused here as there is no 'hard rock' in this game.
