Journeying to his gravesite, a group of sorority sisters accidentally awaken the cannibal chef once again who begins killing their friends, and when he shows up at a Christmas party they're throwing to forget their troubles and must find the source of his power to stop his rampage once and for all.
This one was quite the enjoyably cheesy slasher. One of the finest features here is that this one immediately shows its hand that it's going for the over-the-top cheese and featuring that atmosphere throughout. Showing the best bits of her past struggles with the killer in the form of her hapless escapades gives this a clear indication of what's going on and where the intent is going. The same atmosphere here that was present in the other flaws where the insistence on going for the joke, piling on the ugly jokes for their friend, the absurdity of having strippers shepherd people to meet Santa, or having a man-in-drag that no one calls out and just goes along with helps to fuel the cheesy tone here. Even the physical jokes and one-liners score here, while some of the cheesy gore from the multitude of kills throughout the film offer up gory setpieces and tons of action as the killer strikes throughout the house. As these manage to provide the film with a stellar pace to showcase these elements in fine, short bursts, this one manages to hold up quite nicely for the most part. The film does have some issues. The most obvious one is that the comedy here doesn't always land even to those who find it funny. The brand of humor featured here, relying on moronic characters saying nonsense nonsequiturs and lame puns, completely disassociated with reality won't be swayed by this one since there's such a disconnect from anything believable that it's entirely possible to be pulled out immediately. As well, there are also jokes and gags here that really aren't funny regardless of the immersion into the comedy, mostly from the scatological references and physical showcases that don't have a joke at all beyond their inclusion which is rather disconcerting. The other issue here is the confusing and scattered finale that tries to be shocking and surprising but just raises questions about what's going on, and what's happening that it can't answer due to the abrupt ending after due to the lack of budget and the story to keep this one going as long as it is. That's the other big issue as the main storyline here doesn't have any weight to go on for any amount of time, leaving this a somewhat disappointing time.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence, Graphic Language, and Nudity.
