Caught this on free to air TV by accident and was immediately spellbounded, engaged and enthused to watch it to its end.
A projected possibility of taboo predicament at both extremes in reality, made into a story for a good case study. Though unique to Singapore on common sharing spaces in public housing , in essence, the relevance can traverse most cultures where customs and traditions still hold its place and observance. Here, the brilliance of balancing and neutralizing many very sensitive and valid life concern events will impress both the living and the dead, pun intended. This dramedy is skilfully executed with high doses of witty shades, humor, clever reflections, poignancy, nuances of generousity, open minded kindness, compromise, preserving and celebrating harmony within a fabricated commune.
It was surprising to learn that this precious gem was released in 2014 without any public national fanfare nor visibility. Perhaps it was, and somehow was missed or not virally discussed. Or perhaps, it wasn't released or not on public media domain anyways. Nevertheless, it is timely and certainly ripe(re-released) to seriously consider submiting this gem for some major jury awards internationally. This production has legs. It can travel to connect global audiences and give the world a good glimpse of the unique and delicate multi racial juxtapositioning of Singapore living.
Genius. Great job and thanks for a really feel good and enjoyable production.
