Stuffings (2021) is a movie that I recently watched on Amazon Prime. The storyline follows a social media couple investigating a haunted forest on Christmas Eve where a history of murders have occurred. As people they encounter die shortly after they discover them, they quickly realize they may be added to the legends of the forest themselves.
This movie is written and directed by Mathew J. Wilkinson (How NOT to Make a Horror Film) and stars Georgia Williams (Damper), Ognjen Trisic (Fowl Play: A Poultry Affair), Marcello D'Onofrio (Souls), Kathleen Halligan (Crime at a Funeral) and Daniel Moody (The Rover of Tobruk).
This movie obviously had no budget and feels like it. The background sound effects in the movie and during the kill scenes was the best part of the film. The settings are well selected and there is some good humor in the dialogue here and there, the fart story was hilarious. But the overall horror elements, especially the kills, were weak. The masks and costumes were poorly made and felt rushed and the writing overall and acting is average to bad.
Overall, this is a movie only worth a watch for fans of bad horror movies who are looking for an addition to the genre with a holiday twist. I would score this a 2/10 and recommend skipping it.
