Not what you are expecting... it's better.

This documentary starts with the legend of an actual GIANT octopus taking down a giant bridge in Tacoma Washington and ends with a celebration of humanity and deep respect for ocean life today. I learned so much about a creature I've always been curious about and the culture that surrounds it.

This film covers the entire history of our relationship with the octopus and other "sea monsters" of the 1800s. The more information they threw at me, the more questions I had, in a good way. There is obviously so much left to learn.

Trigger warning, there is a section that goes into a now illegal, barbaric sport of octopus wrestling. Knowing what we know now about the animal, this was shocking to learn about. Thankfully, the filmmakers reveal their stance on the issue fairly early on and we can all move forward as a more civilized species.
