The wirting of this story is so good, I was hooked to my screen the whole ~10minutes of the short film. I could have watched two more hours of this story easily. A historical war film that is yet still so accurate in its meaning. In my eyes a film about humanity, compassion, ethos, unfairness and obedience.
The cinematography adds to the story and is high class like a and gives a sense of reality.
The make-up, hairstyling and wardrobe have done such a good job, every detail is historically accurate and their work added even more believability, compassion and drama to the whole movie.
The fight scenes were really thought through and realistic for these guys who are tired from fighting the war, yet forced not to give up.
The acting was real. I could see the character's families waiting at home during the fight scenes. Not many words needed to be spoken to understand the seriousness of the moment and the depth of the character's pain. I could see where they came form and where they are going just by looking into their eyes.
That all comes from outstanding directing with in-depth knowledge and interest about actual events and a mind passionate for film with meaning to this world.
