Come Home

Missa X returns to her much-appreciated long-form drama in this tale of Laney Grey as a married woman forced to choose between her husband (Codey Steele) and a lover (Nathan Bronson). The soap opera dramatics are well enacted by a fine cast, and Missa keeps the audience guessing for 3-1/2 hours (5 sex scenes spread across three separate segments for her website subscribers) as to the outcome.

Steele, who is quite adept at playing cads and unsavory characters, comes off as a caring, selfless husband here, even buying (at great expense for him) a cottage in France to give to Laney in remembrance of their honeymoon there. He borrows money from Laney's mother (Reagan Foxx, in a deliciously unscrupulous role) to fund the cottage, and she does everything she can to interfere with Laney's life and marriage -including taking Steele to bed.

In a complicated series of flashbacks, the story unfolds with Laney moving to and fro in her determination to either make her marriage work or to run off with handsome and adoring Nathan Bronson. Quite clearly aimed at a couples audience, picture's stress on dramatics and character nuance, especially in the dialogue, is a refreshing departure from what has become standard in Adult Cinema lately, namely perfunctory and often unconvincing story content as token prelude to the XXX folks are paying for.
