Kendo (Ken Docherty) is nothing if not pretentious, with this perhaps his most famous porn title. It trots out his usual faults and an empty style pegged to spotlighting tattooed performers.

The silliness even has Pascal White comically not apologizing for his absence of tattoos in the inevitable dumb BTS short subject on the DVD. Kendo's males sit around in sulky poses while strikingly distinctive actresses (beyond just their tattoos) pose and have sex with the studs.

The library music is intentionally distracting, while Mr. K's avant-garde effects of extremely cropped images, repeated shots from various vignettes including other films (Keni Styles is shown so briefly as to be nearly subliminal, lifted from some earlier Kendo project), stylized color and confusing editing combine to create some deranged subterranean art project from perhaps the '60s or '70s.

Most interesting model showcased here is Tallulah, who has lovely colorful tats, and is styled as a mysterious masked woman by K, failing to utilize properly her most distinctive red hair.

As perhaps the most dogged (and as a result tired-out) follower of Kendo's work, I tentatively conclude that his affinity for both fetish content and experimental camera/lenses techniques peaked long ago, resulting in nearly a decade of repetition of gimmicks, rather than any artistic maturation. The only good news is that most of his efforts have not spurred copycat pornographers out there in what's left of the Adult Cinema industry.
