Smoke

I like the series, it has a good storyline about chasing 2 unknown arsonists. The actors are really good and the sound effects and visuals are good. Apple TV has starred again with another one of its great series.

This leaves you wanting more and can't wait to see the next episode. The other reviews that are downgrading this are rubbish with one of them stating the music is bad. However I think it's fitting. The actors are good quality, with a very intriguing storyline.

Well worth a watch and really describes some of the characters we have in this world today and what they are capable of.

Very good and well worth a watch.

I very seldom take the time to write a review, and a show must be really good for me to take the time and make the effort. Smoke is one of those shows that makes it worth it to do just that.

Smoke has a dark, almost dystopian suspense-filled atmosphere. The pace of the story-line is slow-burning, yet tense enough to draw one in.

All the the characters are multi-faceted and complex, drawing you in and keeping you hooked. The lead character, arson investigator Dave Gudsen (Taron Egerton) appears to have a very complicated often moody and dark persona, yet somehow one finds him unexplainably likeable. He together with police detective Michelle Calderone (Jurnee Smollett) and Chief Harvey Englehart (Greg Kinnear) are tasked with catching two serial arsonists who are active in the neighbourhood.

The story-line takes you to the very dark places in the minds of two very different, but equally dangerous arsonists. The plot goes through unexpected twists and turns that keeps one engrossed and in suspense. Every episode is exciting and keeps the plot moving forward, as more new dark and fascinating secrets about the arsonists are revealed.

Overall the acting and dialogues, of this considerably very different and original story-line, is superb. Each of the cast gives a great performance, and does an amazing job to make it work.

Smoke is definitely a show that's worth watching and it will keep you wanting to watch more as soon as possible.

I do however find it incomprehensible that Smoke only has a rating of 6.3, and so many poor reviews, given that it is in actual fact an excellent series well worth watching. For that reason I've given it a 9.

Egerton is too good in this. Scary good. Nightmare material for days. Makes you wonder how he can be so good at playing this really dark characters. This is a story that goes to very dark places in the mind of two incendiaries, one a psychopath, the other a sociopath, but equally dangerous. Must watch, if you are brave.

After 2 episodes I'm in. This is easily one of my favorites shows of the year so far, unless the rest of the season goes off the rails. The characters are interesting, the dialog realistic (I'm no expert on the subject but it all feels legit), and the story has me completely hooked.

I don't understand the poor reviews especially after only 2 episodes. Cliche'? Maybe to some, but I haven't seen any other shows executed with this level of style and edginess in a while. The characters are just beginning to develop and boy are they a puzzle. After the plot twist at the end of episode 2, I can't wait to see where this goes.

I've watched the first two episodes of Smoke on Apple TV+ and so far, I'm enjoying it. The atmosphere is dark, tense, and moody, with the Pacific Northwest setting really adding to the overall tone. The story is slowly building tension, and the performances by Taron Egerton and Jurnee Smollett are strong and believable. The pacing is slow but feels deliberate, like it's setting up for bigger twists to come. The characters seem layered and complex, and the mystery around the fires is keeping me hooked.
