I was going to see this. I'm now glad I didn't.
It's very nice that the BBC are trying to bring live theatre (or recordings of live theatre) into our homes, especially at Christmas. Theatre Companies did it very well over the course of lockdown, so why can't a big network like them.
I didn't like the show quite simply. It clearly was a nice tribute to Morecambe and Wise, but there are better out there.
This just really didn't grab me, and was a slog to get through.
Perhaps had I been in the audience on the night I would have enjoyed it more, but based on what I saw I'm glad I saved myself the ticket price.
