This is a warm-hearted and whimsical Taiwanese film about relationships and sexual orientation.
Richie Jen stars as Weichung, a Taipei optometrist who is bisexual, but wanting a change from his gay lifestyle decided to enter a marriage a number of years before. He is now married, for some nine years, to Feng (Mavis Fan) and they have a six-year-old son Aman. However, when a flight attendant, named Thomas (Wong Ka-Lok) visit's Weichung's shop, it sets off a mutual attraction between the two men, which may threaten to put Weichung's marriage into chaos.
At the same time, Weichung's sister Mandy ( Kimi Hsia) has gotten "cold feet" and broken off her engagement to San-San (Stone), and withdrawn to her apartment to isolate and watch soap operas. Weichung's former friends from the gay community emerge to help the crestfallen San-San and Weichung get through these uncertain times. The remainder of the movie will focus on how all of these situations will eventually play out and it may not end up the way you'd expect.
Ably written and directed by Arvin Chen, I thought overall this was a rather pleasant tale, with some scenes of well presented fantasy. It's not an in-depth "knock your socks off" drama but as mentioned more of a whimsical likable story.
