Everything you want in a show: intriguing plot, memorable characters with great development, exciting fantasy world with unique features, a developed mythology, hidden powers, cuteness, comedy, action, and a hint of romance. I've watched it 3x through now I love it so much. I consider among the best animes I've ever seen (and I've seen plenty). My only guess as to why the ratings aren't better is because the English dub is lacking (the protagonist has too deep of a voice to think of him as a 15 year old). I highly recommend the original Japanese. And perhaps the first few episodes aren't the best the show has to offer. The last half of the season's episodes is where most of the good stuff is. Stick with it if you're not sure about continuing. I really hope they make a season 2, there is sufficient set up for this.
