Not what i was expecting.
Ive been looking forward to this since the trailer got out. Swedish film is creating some extremely good movies, but Swedish horror is rarley good.
So it has a pretty high rating and i expected pretty much. And yes, the acting is pretty good by the majority of the actors. And its a film you could deep dive into theories really. But your able to do that simpley because its a confusing movie, with a poor script.
The plot is good and abit unique at the beginning, but "Ur Mörkret" fails again and again with the basics of storytelling. The plot lacks logic and explanations in big parts of the plot. Surley the ending explain some of the questions during the film, but its a horror film that has a very open minded plot. And sure if you like those types of films your gonna like this one. But this time i didnt really think it fits the style of the film.
Its not that scary. Contains very few scary moments, its the classical cheap jumpscares that get you every time. During my watch i figured out atlest 20 more excited ways to to scare the audience.
Its worth the time definitely, but don't expect too much.
