Wind Breaker

There are a few really, really good fights in the middle episodes of Wind Breaker's first season. Among the best I've seen between characters without superpowers. But a good high-school-delinquent-fighter-slice-of-life anime needs more than fight animation, and Wind Breaker didn't deliver on plot, character, or setting. I'm not interested in the tsudere protagonist's journey to becoming a normal person, I'm not interested in his thinly-drawn classmates, and I don't believe his town exists. Give me Angel Densetsu any day, or even Viral Hit. But do be sure to visit YouTube and search "Wind Breaker fight" at some point, because the animators worked hard for those scenes.
