I can't believe that there is such an actor like him the way he act is extraordinary the story is so sad and he make it more sad with his acting still amazed of his act he is a true actor if it was more rating than ten i would give it to it BEST OF THE BEST HOPE THIS MOVIE GOT THE OSCAR FR. I can't tell whether he's acting or they casted a disabled person his acting was so good and I kept crying every scene that character faced every challenge given by the society from other to the family members director made me realise how blessed I'm for just born perfect thanks to the director, the main character and the rest of crew members.i can see myself how some of the normal people can't tolerate the disabled person for their disability and this movie really delevired it very well and they are also humans and it can affect just as the normal people thanks to the social media for recommended this will help the people who really needed this.
After viewing so many failed Hollywood blockbusters with no emotions, this is movie let me feel the strongest wave of emotions for years!
The actor's performance is world-class, no stunts, no visual effects, the actor spent more than half a year to study the physical movement of a cerebral paralysis patient, even live with some of them for months, then train himself so he can train himself to act like one of them.
There're few long shots focusing the actor in the film, the actor has performed flawlessly in those long shots, he's not acting the role Liu Chunhe, he has became Liu Chunhe in that 130 mins!
After the movie is released, there're many cerebral paralysis patient and their family went on Chinese TikTok, praise the movie accurately capture and presented the pain, challenge and struggle of their daily life, there were no over representation of pain, no over dramatic events, proved by emergency doctors, the actor has precisely presented the challenge of a cerebral paralysis patient.
What's more, after the movie was released, the movie launched a social campaign named "Moss flowers", promoting equal treatment and employment for people with disabilities, what more could you ask from a movie!

Must be awful to feel and know that you're a burden, that your own parents wish they didn't have you. To be trapped by both your body and the people you have to depend on.
Clearly an awareness campaign type of movie and I resisted it for a while, but it got to me. It got to me big time with a few scenes that were well done. Or maybe just effective, which amounts to very much the same thing.
Jackson Yee does amazing work, there's no trace of the leading man here, he is completely lost in this role and it must be hard work and humbling getting to that level of disability.
I loved some scenes, some I found cliche or manipulative. But then again it's a melodrama so that's the whole point, to make us empathize. I really didn't see the point of the girl and I knew no good would come of it, unless the movie went into some very unrealistic territory. But I guess there's a girl like that in every boy's life. I thought the mom got off too easily and she absolutely had no excuse, not even her own absent mother. The speech at the mayor's office or wherever it was felt a little unnatural and rehearsed, not something he would say on the spot.
I liked the grandma. She's the best grandma anybody could wish for.

- Wissenswertes"Big World" is China's first film to significantly promote the cause of accessibility. Following its release, the production team and public institutions launched the "Moss Flower Pact" on January 1, 2025, aimed at helping individuals with impairments participate equally in social life.
The pact calls for employers, educational institutions, interest groups, and public service providers to offer fair opportunities for employment and education to people with impairments. Organizations or individuals that join commit to removing barriers to work, learning, and living, thereby supporting the advancement of accessibility.
Displaying or using the Moss Flower symbol signifies a voluntary commitment to this initiative. The pact seeks to raise awareness about individuals with impairments and encourage collective efforts to create an accessible environment. Its implementation will enhance social participation for people with disabilities and promote equity and progress in China.

Liu Chunhe: You are the star up in the clouds, I am the weirdo who traverses the river of lonliness. The executioner on the bridge, is killing dreams. The gunshots from the embankment, killed all desires.
