An Ukrainian woman, who somewhat looks like an adult movie star, lives happily with her husband. She allegedly gave up her magical powers so she could live with a 'normal' human husband (if the other reviewer didn't mention it, I would not know). After an incediblty cringy opening scene, the 'evil' Russians invade the country, shoot her husband, and the woman goes on a killing spree to avenge her husband.
What follows is a typical 'down by the numbers' gorefest where the female witch protagonist first toys with their heads with all sorts of mindtricks, and then leads them to their deaths. Most of the death are pretty cheesy IMO, so if you're into gory deaths (I'm not) then this might be your cup of tea. There are some atmospheric shots in between from birch forests and some candle lit rooms, but it still has the whole feeling of a corny slasher movie.
The movie also seems to have no problems with conveying a political message. The Russians are clearly the bad guys here, looting and r@ping and killings as they see fit.
PS: some clarification. The other reviewer said something about the dogs name and Pantera. Actually, the Russian says Bandera, the name of a famous Ukrainian collaborator in WW 2. Just to clear that up.
