Blond, cold-eyed German stage actor and director. He made his theatrical debut in 1920 in Weimar. Clausen appeared in relatively few films and is best remembered today for his first screen role as a lieutenant in the anti-war drama Cuatro de infantería (1930). He was the son of the writer Ernst Clausen (1861-1912).
