In 1995, Clendenin volunteered as an usher for the Steppenwolf Theatre's production of "Buried Child," Co-Starring Ted Levine.
Ask actors Ted Levine, Phil Donlon, Mike Sode and Curt Clendenin to tell their circa 2003 story of how, soon after eating buffalo burgers, they were all mistaken as trespassers and almost thrown down an old desert mineshaft, by Surf Guitar Legend, Dick Dale.
In 2004, Curt was working as an extra on "Monk", where he saw Ted on the same set. Clendenin reminded Levine of the crazy story they shared. Levine asked the director of the episode ("Mr. Monk and the T.V. Star"), to move his friend Curt Clendenin, into a more featured role.
