On 1 Jan 1995, after taping television show "Almost Live!", she
collapsed on the set in sudden cardiac arrest. After CPR by a volunteer
firefighter in the audience and treatment by Seattle Fire Department,
she returned to the living with a viable heartbeat after being gone for
about 15 minutes. She now wears an internal defibrillator.
