Petrina was born in India to an Indian mother and an English father. She lived in India until she was 10, when she moved to England. Eventually she started working as a nurse in Singapore, until she was scouted by an Indian film company. After appearing in several Indian films, she moved back to England to work with
George Harrison Marks.
