Manoj Kalwani

Manoj is a young Indian screenwriter who made his debut with Zee5's latest release 14 Phere. It's a high-concept romantic dramedy directed by Devanshu Singh, a national award-winning filmmaker. Manoj's strength as a writer lies in blending comedies with dramas and setting them in unique heartland worlds. He has an inherent knack for dialogue writing and his range varies from small-town heartland stories to masala films, with wider appeal. He also has a keen understanding of relationships with a capability to weave captivating dramas around them. Before pursuing screenwriting, Manoj spent his time teaching mathematics to JEE aspirants. His creative journey began after getting selected for AIB First Draft, a residency screenwriting training program. He studied screenwriting under National Award-winning filmmaker Satyanshu Singh. Most recently he was r a part of the writers' room for season 2 of the popular comedy-drama series Kota Factory, which premiered on Netflix. He has also worked on a web show for Abbas Tyrewala and is currently developing several original ideas.
