Thain Wesley was originally named Thain Wesley Lurk and was born in Bountiful, Utah. His family later moved to Pennsylvania where he spent most of his childhood. Thain's father, Paul Lurk, was a Chemical Engineer, and his mother, Christine Lurk, worked as a Correctional Officer. As a family, they enjoyed watching classic movies such as "Singing in the Rain" and "The Wizard of Oz". Thain developed a deep passion for cinema and filmmaking from a young age.
After attending design school, Thain started his own business designing logos and brands for various restaurants and businesses. While working on a friend's music video, Thain was asked to play a character and ended up swinging a sword for four hours, resulting in bleeding hands. However, he knew then that acting was what he wanted to pursue.
Thain started studying acting and spent his free time working on short films in Toronto, Canada. He later landed his first feature film role as "The Lurker" in Adam Jack's horror/thriller movie of the same name. The Lurker went on to win over a dozen festival awards internationally. Thain then reunited with Adam Jack for his next feature film, "Jackknife", where he played Guy Lachance, a colorful backwoods drug dealer.
