Jon Anctil is a Picture Editor for features and television, based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada.
A graduate of the Capilano University School of Motion Picture Arts, Jon dove head first into the editing department starting with night shifts processing dailies for Uwe Boll and Hallmark movies. He worked his way up through the department, eventually working as an assistant editor on a variety of sci-fi and action series before cutting an episode of the SyFy series "Van Helsing". He was nominated for a Leo Award for this first episode, and this lead the way to editing 12 more episodes of Van Helsing, another Leo nomination, and no signs of slowing down.
Editing projects for Netflix, CBC, Quibi, CW, and FOX, he's had the pleasure of working with greats like Sam Raimi, Neil LaBute, and Jonathan Lloyd Walker.
