James is an experienced authors, artist and screenwriter with over 20 years experience in feature film production.
He got his first paying job at the age of 18 working as a layout artist in television animation. In 2004, he created Atlantis Studios, a graphic arts studio specializing in adapting film properties into graphic novel format.
James worked as lead Editor for over 200 comics and graphic novels many of which were licensed film and television properties. Among the notable projects adapted for publication was of official graphic novel adaptation of The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines, for Dean Devlin / Electric Entertainment.
In 2006, James launched a successful original series 'The Adventures of Paula Peril', which was adapted into a series of short films, including 'Mystery of the Crystal Falcon', 'The Invisible Evil', 'Midnight Whistle', 'The Serpent Cult', and 'The Hidden City'. Three of the films were edited together into an anthology feature available on multiple streaming platforms.
Inspired by his childhood love of science fiction and family-friendly adventure films, James adapted story ideas from his teenage years into a critically-praised graphic novel series entitled 'The Star Runner Chronicles'. The first book in the series has been adapted into a feature film screenplay, and is in development for release as a feature film.
