Kya Garwood

Kya Garwood is an Actor born in Yorkshire, England. From the age of 8 years, she had tap and ballet lessons at her local performance school, but when he teacher retired Kya lost the confidence and then stopped dancing. At the age of 18 years, the decision was made to go back into performance training, which then began at the Anna Scher Theatre School in London, followed with her college enrolment at the Kensington & Chelsea College for Performance Arts and additional on-going short courses at RADA and Margie Haber in Los Angeles. Kya chose to hone in her craft skills working on features as a film Stand-In, which became the best training of her career. Kya was also a finalist in Eric Morley's Miss United Kingdom. Kya's love for the stage helped her gain work as a host/presenter and then back into performance for Stephen Daldry's West End production of An Inspector Calls and Frederick Stroppel's production of Package Deal and recently The play, Other Yarns performed at the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham London. Her earlier TV appearance includes: Dream Team and Footballers Wives,[Sky] Dead Ringers and Holby [BBC]. Her film feature credits include; Paddington 2 and The Marvels, with lead credits in her first short feature in the french film LUCY which is due to hit the festival circuit in 2025.
