Hazuki Aikawa

Hazuki is a Japanese film director and writer based in New York City. Born in Sapporo, Japan and raised in Tokyo, she moved to New York City in 2003 to obtain her masters degree in science journalism from New York University. Her works as a director/writer include short fiction films Reflection (2014) , Upgrade (2013), A Happy New Year (2016). Her feature documentary YANCHA was commissioned by Fuji Television. Hazuki is a director, writer, producer, and researcher. She resides in Brooklyn with her husband, son, and 12-year-old cat.
