Marjorie O'Brien
- Reparto
Marjorie O'Brien was born in Failsworth, Manchester in 1937 to her loving parents Lewis and Lucy Lees. One of three children her first foray into the world of the bright lights, big city was as a recurring feature model in the world famous Woman's Own magazine (her much feted 1960's Trafalgar Square shoot being of particular note).
Following many decades as a successful business woman and dedicated mother of five children, yet unable to resist the ever alluring call of the camera, she broke in to the acting profession later in life - with a memorable performance starring alongside the legendary stage and screen actor Julian Glover (Indiana Jones, Empire Strikes Back, For Your Eyes Only, Game of Thrones) in the Internationally acclaimed multi-award winning short film 'Mr.Invisible' (Best of Fest - Palm Springs International Shortest 2013, Grand Jury Prize - Seattle Shorts 2013, Audience Award - Seattle Shorts 2013, Audience Award - Austin Film Festival 2013, Best of Fest - Reel Shorts 2014, Best World Cinema Short - Phoenix Film Festival 2013, Special Jury Prize - Aspen Shortsfest 2014, Grand Jury Prize - Newport Beach Film Festival 2014, Best of Fest - Seattle International Film Festival 2014, Audience Award - Cinefiesta 2014, BAFTA long-listed 2014, Academy Award Qualified 2015).
It was whilst on location filming in London's star studded SoHo that she shared a "coffee and a cake" between takes with the distinguished Irish entrepreneur, hurler and singer PG 'Gerry' O'Brien (New Ross, Co. Wexford 1938) - they remain happily married to this day.
