Kenneth Karlstad is a Norwegian film director and screenwriter doing TV drama and feature films. His long format debut Kids in Crime is Kenneth's long format debut won the "Norwegian Emmy" Gullruten for Best Dramaseries, Best Direction, Best Supporting Actor and Best Cinematography. It also won The Nordic Film Fond Prize 2023 for "Best Screenplay".

His debut short film The Hunger earned him a Young Director Award at Cannes 2019, and won the Film Critics Award at The Norwegian Short Film Festival. He also won several awards for his work on music videos.
