- ConexionesReferenced in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy Gives Up! (2016)
Reseña destacada
Steve Harvey has to be one of the funniest human beings on the planet...but not only is he funny on his daytime talk show, he proves that he is also a REALLY good man!
Every show opens with him saying his motto, 'I'm here to help', and that's not just simply lip-service, as Harvey has shown time after time that he puts his money where his mouth is. Frequently hosting woman on his show who have been unlucky in love, he takes pride in finding these lonely souls exceptional mates. As well, he shines a light on people who have done extraordinary things to make society better, bringing them on his show as a new member of 'Harvey Heroes', awarding them a special jacket to honor their accomplishments along with giving them a monetary award. He also helps the homeless find housing, and unemployed people find jobs. Although other talk show hosts like 'Ellen' and 'Oprah' have done the occasional act to help individuals out, Harvey has made his talk show a vehicle to accomplish these things on a daily basis.
Having recently moved in many markets from the 9AM to 3PM time slot, Harvey appears to be getting closer to his dream ~ a nighttime talk show where he'd be freer to express his trademark blue humor. But ever humble, he says that 'God had different plans', and graced his life with a daytime show instead.
Finally, it must be said that there is ALWAYS a strong dose of humor mixed in with his philanthropy in every episode. From his first segment called 'Ask Steve', to the final one called 'Just One More Thing', you both begin the show and end this show laughing. Without a doubt, consistently one of the best weekday hours on TV!
