The bathtub scenes were not shot in an actual bathtub or bathroom. Instead a rig was built using a blue tarp and a piece of linoleum on a house driveway. The bowl-like creation was filled with freezing cold, hose water and Amy (Alice) had to be cautious of her shivering lips during each take.
