A fun and slightly dark satire on modern times revolving on a young girl (Lesley McKinnell) who brings her boyfriend (Darren Barnet, hilarious)
to meet her friends (Lexi Ainsworth, Jackson Mcqueen and Gabriel Freilich) and have some dinner. He is proudly introduced by her as being a computer hacker,
which shocks the beejesus of the trio (if everybody's on the internet he can find any secrets they may have), and they also deal with his awkward
manners. Will this night progress in a nice manner or there'll be more strange surprises for everyone involved?
It's a very amusing piece dealing with the perils of technology, the challenges everyone faces as having dual identities (inside and outside of
the internet but sometimes those two match) and the perception most would have if being introduced to a hacker. Some could view it in a positive way, but
others would be afraid just like the group in the film as they do have some embarassing things to hide yet only a hacker could discover by tracking them
down.
A fine cast of young actors, but Darren is the one who steals the show with the stereotypical perception films and series have on hackers, being suspicious and
secretive all the time, with limited social skills and hidden inside his hoodie. It was very fun to watch. 7/10.
