A funky animation

A fantastic and memorable video moment directed by the then couple Rocky Morton and Annabel Jenkel, who made of this animated clip a great moment to the hit song from Tom Tom Club and it was a subsequent experience from the duo behind the under appreciated short film "Marx for Beginners". The animation techniques makes of this funky music video one of the best of its era.

I don't have much of a take on it except for the complex involved in the drawings that follow one another, from abstract moments revolving a talking dog, references to James Brown and the fun girls singing the song - the remarkable beat and fun music, full of energy and the smooth voices from the band members. It's an innovative clip for its time and still has effect and power on today's audiences. Simply perfect. 10/10
