Contrary to what was published in movie periodicals of the time, this is not a co-production between Italy and Hungary and was not shot on location in Hungary. Although the two leads were indeed Hungarian movie stars, the film is resolutely Italian. It was shot in the FERT studios in Turin with Italian personnel and technicians.
