¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesAfter this special originally aired children all over the country sent candy to Charlie Brown out of sympathy.
- PifiasIn the opening scene in which Lucy and Linus go out to the pumpkin patch, we see the setting sun in the background, which the children pass as they walk. However, the sun (just like the moon when we drive a car) would not be "passed" as though it were a stationary object; rather it would "move" along with the person moving. A second setting sun appears at the end of the same shot, after the children turn a corner and walk in another direction.
- Citas
[repeated line]
Charlie Brown: I got a rock.
- Créditos adicionalesLinus and Charlie Brown are at the wall and Charlie tells Linus that he's done stupid things in his life, too. Then Linus keeps on shouting during the credits about how sitting and waiting in a pumpkin patch wasn't stupid.
- Versiones alternativasThe version of the show broadcast on CBS from the late 1970s until it went to ABC was edited, cutting out most of the trick-or-treat/I got a rock sequence. This version was also time-compressed. Some older video releases also edit this sequence and also the scene where Snoopy dances along to Schroeder's World War I-era piano music. Later airings on CBS in the late 1990s would also cut the scene where Lucy pulls the football away when Charlie Brown attempts to kick it. The Paramount video release is unedited.

Reseña destacada
Although thousands of Halloween TV specials bombard us each October, one stands out as a can't-miss for anyone with children or anyone who ever was a child. The complete lack of scariness makes this the classic feel-good movie of the season. It is one film that is appropriate for children of every age, even very young children. It brings up the same nostalgic feelings that the Peanuts comic strip does, and gets me in the Halloween spirit every year. If you haven't seen it yet, spend some time this October to watch it with the children in your life. It's perfect with warm popcorn and orange candy corn. So for a change from the movies that give you nightmares, try the Halloween special that will give you sweet dreams of great pumpkins.
