- ConexionesReferenced in Jean Reno: The Road to 'Léon' (2005)
Reseña destacada
This short prequel to Luc Besson's "Le Dérnier Combat" is a weak, disjointed and tiring film that is mildly interesting thanks to its production values, considering
that a young director has to use a limited budget to present his post-apocalyptic flick. For those who watched the feature film, the settings, cinematography, actors
are all the same but this one misses big time because there's no time to explore the magic, the aesthetic of an underworld where voices aren't heard, everything is an ammount of garbage
occupying spaces and people fight their way in order to survive. In the 1983 movie, I've felt that there was a need for survival; in this one it all falls apart, it just feels
those men who to battle themselves over and over while the soundtrack gets painfully louder, bizarre and annoying. Here's an empty and early example of the cinema dú look, which
would benefit more with the feature films of Besson, Beneix and Carax in amazing stories. 5/10
